There is a slot in the door of the Padded Room. Slide a note through it. Waotoo reads everything that comes under the door — slowly, out loud, getting most of it wrong. Whatever you write, he eats. It becomes part of him. He'll bring it up later, mangled, as if it were his own idea.
A real human thought slows his collapse a little. Slop speeds it up. He can't tell the difference. That's the fun.
